Coachbuilder Front Bump Stop Kit | 88T Hyper-Flex Polyurethane Bottom-Out Protection | Fits Toyota Tacoma, 4Runner, FJ Cruiser & Lexus GX 470 2005+ | Ekstrom Design
The Coachbuilder Front Bump Stop Kit gives lifted Toyota Tacoma, 4Runner, and FJ Cruiser builds — plus the Lexus GX — a real cushion when the front suspension runs out of travel. Once a trail rig sits on 2.5"–4" of front lift from coilovers, loaded struts, or leveling spacers, the factory bump stops are no longer where the suspension needs them, and every hard compression gets passed straight into your coilovers and frame. These Hyper-Flex polyurethane stops carry an 88T durometer rating and cushion a collapsing suspension, preventing the bottom-outs and over-cycling that beat up expensive front-end parts. Fitment covers 2005 and newer Tacoma, 4Runner, FJ Cruiser, and Lexus GX.
Features
- Hyper-Flex polyurethane with an 88T durometer rating — outperforms the factory bump stops
- Cushions the front suspension as it collapses, preventing bottom-outs and over-cycling
- Protects coilovers, loaded struts, and leveling-spacer setups from harsh full-compression hits
- Two round-head bump stops included, each 1 7/8" tall by 2.25" in diameter
- Ships with the correct hardware for the Tacoma / 4Runner / FJ Cruiser / Lexus GX application
- Recommended for trucks with 2.5"–4" of front lift
- Works with larger lifts when combined with the extension supplied by your lift manufacturer
Driving a Tundra instead? The same bump stop design comes in a Tundra 2007–2021 version and a Tundra / Sequoia 2022–2025 version. Dialing in front ride height on the same platform? Add a Coachbuilder .50" strut/coilover shim, or browse all bump stops.

Will this kit fit my 2018 Tacoma TRD Off-Road?
Yes. This kit covers 2005 and newer Toyota Tacoma, 4Runner, and FJ Cruiser, plus the Lexus GX, and it ships with the correct hardware for that application. It's the right pick for the mid-size Toyota platform — Tundra owners need the separate Tundra 2007–2021 or Tundra/Sequoia 2022–2025 versions instead.
Do these work with aftermarket coilovers and lift kits?
That's exactly what they're for. Coachbuilder recommends them for trucks running 2.5"–4" of front lift from coilovers, loaded struts, or leveling spacers, where the factory stops no longer engage properly. On lifts taller than that, they can still be used when combined with the extension supplied by your lift manufacturer.
What comes in the kit?
Two round-head Hyper-Flex polyurethane bump stops, each measuring 1 7/8" tall by 2.25" in diameter, along with the correct mounting hardware for the 2005+ Tacoma, 4Runner, FJ Cruiser, and Lexus GX application. The polyurethane carries an 88T durometer rating, so it cushions hard compression instead of crumbling the way tired factory stops do.
