These BumperShellz rear bumper covers go over the factory metal rear bumper on the 2007-2013 Chevy Silverado and GMC Sierra 1500, and on the 2007-2014 Silverado and Sierra HD (2500/3500). They are an overlay, not a replacement: they install directly over the OEM bumper and attach with 3M auto-grade tape.
The vendor lists four uses: chrome delete, protection from minor damage, paint to match, and covering existing damage. They can hide rust, scratches and minor dents and dings, but they should not be treated as a substitute for the factory bumper. Parts are molded from TPO and ABS plastics, with gloss black, matte black, GM Olympic White, textured black TPO, paintable ABS TPO and bed lined TPO finishes, each with or without a sensor cutout.
Fitment
Chevy Silverado / GMC Sierra 1500 for 2007-2013, and Silverado / Sierra HD 2500/3500 for 2007-2014. The vendor says a quantity of 1 gives you the driver and passenger sides unless otherwise specified.
Install notes
The paintable ABS finishes arrive raw, so they need your own sanding and priming before paint. Any color-to-match finish should get a dry fit first: practice the install without removing the red backing from the tape to confirm the part sits right on your truck.
