Emblems, Badges & Letters FAQs
Will emblem overlays damage my factory paint or badges?
Overlays stick over the original badge with 3M adhesive, which leaves the badge underneath. Properly applied and removed with heat, they are generally paint-safe, but paint in poor condition can lift. Follow the install instructions.
How do I know which tailgate letter kit fits my truck?
Look for the model and year range in the listing title, such as a Ford Super Duty or F-150 kit, and compare it to your tailgate. If your truck is a special trim with unusual lettering, call (920) 249-7744 before ordering.
Do the steering wheel emblem overlays fit every Toyota?
No. They are listed for select Toyota models, so confirm yours is on the list in the product description. Look at the emblem on your wheel too, since the shape needs to match.
Can I put overlays on in cold weather?
Adhesive bonds best at moderate temperatures, so avoid very cold or very hot conditions. If it is cold, wait for a warmer day or work in a garage, and let the adhesive cure as directed.
What is the difference between an emblem overlay and a badge?
An overlay covers an existing factory emblem with a domed 3D piece in a different finish. A badge, such as an engine badge, is a standalone piece that you add to a body panel. Both stick on without drilling.
