Toyota 4Runner 5th Gen Full Skid Plate System - A-arm, Bellypan, Fuel
The Toyota 4Runner 5th Gen Full Skid Plate System wraps the underbody in 1/4" 6061-T6 aluminum, protecting the oil pan, transmission, transfer case, front exhaust, and fuel tank in one bundled kit. The heavy-duty aluminum is lighter and gouges less than the 5052 aluminum many competitors use, and it adds ground clearance over the low-hanging OEM skids. Bundled together, the A-arm skids, bellypan, and fuel tank skid save money versus buying each piece separately.
Key Features
- 1/4" 6061-T6 heat-treated aluminum skids with 3/16" zinc-plated steel support brackets
- Covers the oil pan, transmission, transfer case, front exhaust, and fuel tank
- 6061 aluminum offers higher surface strength than competitors' 5052, so it lasts longer and gouges less
- No-overlap design gains additional ground clearance over the OEM skid plates
- Roughly one-third lighter than an equivalent steel system, and it holds its shape instead of denting
Fitment & Compatibility
Fits the 5th-generation Toyota 4Runner. Not compatible with KDSS-equipped models without modification; non-KDSS models install without restriction. An added fuel tank strap eliminates the need to drop the tank, and the system clears sway bar drop brackets and partial differential drops but not a full cradle drop.
