Complete Exhaust Systems FAQs
What is the difference between a cat-back and a complete exhaust?
A cat-back replaces the pipes from the catalytic converter back, including the muffler and tips. A complete or full system replaces more of the exhaust, often from the manifold or downpipe. Check the listing to see where the system begins.
Will an aftermarket exhaust make my truck louder?
Usually a bit, and the tone depends on the muffler and pipe design. Read the description and, if drone worries you, ask before ordering by calling (920) 249-7744.
Is the AWE exhaust available for the new 4Runner and Land Cruiser?
AWE lists an exhaust for the Gen 6 4Runner with the 2.4T and for the Toyota J250 Land Cruiser 2.4T. Some trail pipe listings are marked coming soon, so check the status.
What is a trail pipe?
It is an off-road exhaust piece listed for the 2022 and newer Tundra and 2024 and newer Tacoma, with a design aimed at trail use. Check each listing for what it replaces.
Will a new exhaust affect my warranty or emissions status?
It may. Rules vary by state and by manufacturer, so check local requirements and your vehicle warranty before installing.
