Rusty, cracked, or torn factory front coil buckets are common on a hard-used Jeep Wrangler TJ or LJ. These Artec Front Frame Coil Buckets are a heavy-duty weld-in replacement that restores the front coil and shock mounts — and they are also the answer for converting a leaf-sprung YJ (or similar) over to coil suspension. CAD-modeled from Chrysler data, they drop into the factory location and retain the OEM bumpstop threading.
Key Features
- CNC laser cut and CNC bent from heavy-duty 3/16 in. thick steel
- CAD-designed using models sourced directly from Chrysler for exact frame fitment
- Retains the factory bumpstop threading, so it installs as a direct replacement
- Gusseted between the coil bucket and shock mount for extra strength
- Includes a 2.0 in. OD piece of DOM tubing for the shock stem
- Provides a factory-style shock stem attachment, or add shock tabs for a clevis/bushing-style shock
Fitment & Compatibility
Fits the Jeep Wrangler TJ (1997-2006) and LJ Unlimited front frame. They also serve as coil-conversion buckets for leaf-sprung YJ or other builds moving to a front coil suspension. This is a weld-in part. When you are addressing sagging or bowed rear springs at the same time, pair it with the TJ Rear Coil Correction Kit. If you are stepping up to a one-ton front axle, Artec also offers the TJ Front Frame Coil Bucket with 1-ton swap offset.

Frequently Asked Questions
Which Jeeps do these fit?
They are designed for the Jeep Wrangler TJ and LJ (1997-2006) front frame, and they also work to convert a leaf-sprung YJ or similar chassis to a front coil suspension.
Do they require welding?
Yes. These are weld-in coil buckets. Remove the damaged factory buckets, then position and weld the new ones using the Chrysler-based fitment as your reference.
Do I keep my factory bump stops?
Yes. The buckets retain the factory bumpstop threading, so they install as a direct replacement for the OEM parts.
What shock mounting options are there?
They provide a factory-style shock stem using the included 2.0 in. OD DOM tubing, or you can add shock tabs to run a clevis/bushing-style shock.
