These are the lower control arm brackets Artec Industries uses in its own TJ Ford 8.8 axle swap kit, now sold on their own for builders piecing together a rear swap. Sold as a driver-and-passenger pair, they weld to the 8.8 housing in the factory lower-control-arm locations under the axle tube, giving your Jeep Wrangler TJ solid, correctly positioned LCA mounts without cutting up a full swap kit.
Key Features
- Laser-cut and boxed from 1/4" steel plate for strength and rock-impact resistance
- 2.625" mounting width with a 9/16" bolt hole sized for common cartridge joints (Johnny Joint, Flex, Ballistic and similar)
- Hole can be drilled out for 1.25" rod ends with misalignment spacers
- Cut to fit 3.25" diameter axle tubes on the Ford 8.8 housing
- Mounts in the OEM lower-arm position under the axle tube for stock-style geometry
- Grease-fitting access designed into the top for easy joint maintenance
Fitment & Compatibility
Designed for a Ford 8.8 rear axle swap under the Jeep Wrangler TJ (1997-2006). The brackets are cut for 3.25" diameter axle tubes as found on the 8.8 housing and may be adapted to other axles with minor modification. They reproduce the factory-style lower-arm location, so they pair with stock-length or mild-lift lower control arms.

Frequently Asked Questions
What vehicle and axle are these for?
They are built for a Ford 8.8 rear axle swap under a 1997-2006 Jeep Wrangler TJ, cut specifically for the 8.8 housing's 3.25" tubes.
What joints do they accept?
The 2.625" mounting width and 9/16" hole fit common cartridge joints such as Johnny Joint, Flex and Ballistic. Drill the hole out and add spacers to run 1.25" rod ends.
Do these need to be welded on?
Yes. These are weld-on brackets and should be positioned and welded by someone comfortable with axle fabrication and setting suspension geometry.
Can I use them on a different axle?
They are cut for 3.25" tubes, but many builders adapt them to other axles with minor modification to the tube saddle.
What if I want the full swap?
These same brackets ship as part of the TJ 8.8 Swap Kit with Truss, alongside the matching OEM shock mounts and sway bar brackets.
