The JL/JT Long Arm Upgrade is Artec Industries' full long-arm suspension system for the Jeep Wrangler JL and Gladiator JT, engineered to correct suspension geometry and add ground clearance on rigs running 3-6" of lift. By moving the control-arm pivots forward on the frame and lengthening the arms, it flattens the arc the axle travels through — smoothing the ride, improving pinion and roll-center behavior, and letting the suspension cycle further without binding.
Key Features
- Machined 7075 aluminum control arms in 2.25" and 1.75" diameters for maximum strength and roughly 10% weight savings over steel
- Optional fabricated DOM steel arms in 2" and 1.5" for excellent durability at a lower cost
- Precision laser-cut and bent 1/4"-thick brackets for a clean, accurate fit
- Improved suspension geometry: better suspension cycle, pinion-angle behavior, and roll center
- Tuned for 3-6" ride-height components for wide lift compatibility
- High-performance Johnny Joints (RockJock at the frame, narrow housing at the axle) for articulation and control
- Front and rear configurations, with a bolt-in HD modular crossmember
Fitment & Compatibility
Fits the Jeep Wrangler JL (2018 and up) and Jeep Gladiator JT (2020 and up). The kit is offered in several configurations — Front ET4, ET3, and bolt-on long-arm systems; rear bolt-on brackets for JL and rear triangulated/weld-on setups for JT — plus versions for factory M210/M220 axles and for 1-ton axle swaps. Some configurations include Artec's patented rear axle truss. Select the front/rear option, axle, and geometry that match your build and lift height.

Frequently Asked Questions
Which Jeeps and lifts does this fit?
The Jeep Wrangler JL (2018+) and Gladiator JT (2020+), tuned for 3-6" of lift. Configurations exist for both factory M210/M220 axles and 1-ton axle swaps.
Should I choose the aluminum or DOM steel arms?
The machined 7075 aluminum arms (2.25" and 1.75") give maximum strength with about a 10% weight reduction; the fabricated 2" and 1.5" DOM steel arms are a durable, lower-cost alternative.
Does installing a long-arm kit require welding?
It depends on the configuration. Front and JL rear options include bolt-on systems, while the JT rear triangulated setups are weld-on. Long-arm installs are involved and best handled by an experienced installer.
Why go to a long arm instead of stock-length arms?
Longer arms flatten the axle's travel arc, which improves ride quality, pinion-angle and roll-center behavior, and lets the suspension cycle further before binding.
Do I need a matching crossmember?
The kit uses a bolt-in HD modular crossmember. If you are replacing yours separately, see the JL/JT Replacement HD Crossmember.
