The original Artec JK Front Axle Truss is a low-profile, weld-on truss that reinforces the front Dana 44 housing on the 2007-2018 Jeep Wrangler JK. Built from 1/4" and 10-gauge steel with interlocked gussets, it stiffens the housing against the twisting loads that come with big tires and aggressive suspension - without stacking up so tall that it fouls other components. This is Artec's original design, offered here as a closeout.

Note: this is the original truss design offered as a limited closeout; if it is sold out, Artec's current JK APEX Front Axle Truss is the successor. Weld-on installation.

What axle does this truss fit?

Does it have to be welded on?
Yes. A truss is a structural weld-on part. The pieces are tacked to the housing and fully welded, ideally after the axle is stripped and set up on a bench or truss jig.

Why is this one a closeout?
This is the original JK front truss design that Artec is clearing out. It is fully functional; it has simply been superseded by their current APEX front truss line. Quantities are limited.

How does a truss help?
Big tires and hard traction put twisting loads into the axle tubes that can bend or crack a housing over time. A truss ties the tubes and center section together and dramatically increases resistance to that flex.
