The High Clearance Comp Rear Bumper Center Skid is the replaceable aluminum wear layer that bolts to the center section of Artec's Bantam Series high-clearance rear bumper on the Jeep Gladiator JT. Instead of grinding your powder-coated steel bumper down on ledges and rock shelves, this sacrificial skid takes the abuse and can be swapped out when it wears — keeping the main bumper looking and functioning like new.
Key Features
- Machined from high-strength aluminum as a sacrificial bash layer, so impacts land on the skid rather than your steel bumper
- Bolts directly to the Bantam high-clearance rear bumper center section — no drilling or fabrication
- Fully replaceable: unbolt a worn skid and install a fresh one to renew belly and center protection
- Lightweight aluminum adds protection without meaningfully raising the rear of the vehicle
- Laser-cut and formed in the USA for a repeatable, precise fit
Fitment & Compatibility
Designed for the center section of Artec's Bantam Series High Clearance Rear Bumper on the Jeep Gladiator JT (2020-present). It is an accessory skid, not a standalone bumper — you need the High Clearance Rear Bumper Center Section (or the complete comp rear bumper) already installed for it to mount to.

Frequently Asked Questions
Does this fit my Jeep on its own?
No. It is a bolt-on skid for the center section of Artec's Bantam high-clearance rear bumper on the Gladiator JT. If you don't yet have that bumper, start with the center section and add the skid to protect it.
Why aluminum instead of steel?
The skid is meant to be sacrificial. Aluminum sheds impact and slides over obstacles while keeping weight down, and because it's inexpensive and bolt-on you simply replace it once it's chewed up rather than repairing the steel bumper.
Do I need to drill or weld to install it?
No. It bolts to existing mounting points on the center section using the supplied hardware.
Is there matching protection for the corner pods?
Yes. Add the High Clearance Rear Bumper Corner Pod Skids to cover the outer end pods the same way.
