TJ 1 TON Front 60 Swap Kit

The TJ 1 TON Front 60 Swap Kit provides every bracket needed to install a 1-ton Dana 60 front axle into a Jeep TJ, LJ, XJ, or ZJ. This heavy-duty truss and bracket system reinforces the axle housing while giving you control arm, coil spring, anti-sway bar, and shock mounting locations for a purpose-built 1-ton front end.

Fitment & Compatibility

Fits the Jeep Wrangler TJ (1997-2006), LJ Unlimited (2003-2006), Cherokee XJ (1984-2001), Grand Cherokee ZJ (1993-1998), and Comanche MJ (1985-1992). It is built around the kingpin front Dana 60 (1985-1991.5) or balljoint front Dana 60 (1992-1997) and is NOT for the 1978-1979 kingpin or 1999+ Super Duty axles. Do I need adjustable control arms?
Likely yes. The upper control arm brackets are 3" higher than factory, so adjustable arms may be necessary. It is not compatible with radius arm or wristed Y-link suspensions.

What UCA option should I pick?
Choose the adjustable truss upper link mount for a 3-link, or Johnny Joints or Daystar bushings in the factory location for a more OEM-style upper arm setup.

How much lift do I need, and is welding required?
A minimum of 4" of lift is required, with 5"+ recommended. The truss and brackets are weld-on, and steering, tie rod, and draglink must be changed to suit the 60.
