The Artec Sterling Rear APEX Short Truss is a compact, weld-on reinforcement for the Ford Super Duty Sterling 10.5 rear axle. At just 13 pounds it stiffens the housing against bending and, thanks to its low-profile peaked deck, gives you an ideal base for mounting upper link joints over the differential. It is the truss of choice when you are building your own bracket layout rather than running a full swap-bracket kit.

Which axle does this truss fit?
It is cut to match the Ford Super Duty Sterling 10.5 rear axle housing.

How do I weld it on without warping the axle?
Artec advises heating the axle to roughly 400 degrees, alternating weld passes from side to side, and letting the housing cool slowly overnight under a welding blanket to minimize distortion.

Why a short truss instead of a full bracket kit?
