JMX PRO 3-piece Teflon lined 7-8 in Rod End w- 3-4 in bore
The JMX PRO 3-piece Teflon-lined rod end is Artec's premium replaceable-race joint for demanding steering and suspension links. This version has a 7/8"-14 male shank and a 3/4" bore, and its three-piece design uses a PTFE (Teflon) liner between the ball and race so the joint runs smooth and quiet while resisting the slop that plagues cheaper one-piece heims. Offered in right-hand (standard) and left-hand (reverse) thread for adjustable link assemblies.
Key Features
- Three-piece construction with a replaceable, Teflon (PTFE) lined race for a controlled, low-friction pivot
- 7/8"-14 male shank thread to fit 7/8" threaded link tubing and adapters
- 3/4" bore sized for a 3/4" bolt or a high-misalignment spacer reduction
- Available in right-hand (standard) or left-hand (reverse) thread so a single link can be length-adjustable
- Teflon liner resists the play and rattle that develop in unlined joints over time
- Built for steering tie rods, drag links, and suspension link ends
Fitment & Compatibility
This is a universal rod end for fabrication, not a vehicle-specific part. The 7/8"-14 shank threads into 7/8" link tubing and matching tube adapters, and it is a common size for heavy steering builds. Pair it with a 7/8 in - 14 tpi jam nut to lock link length, and use 7/8" high-misalignment spacers or a bolt sized to the 3/4" bore. Need a larger bore in the same 7/8" thread? See the JMX PRO 7/8" rod end with 7/8" bore. These are the same joints used in Artec's Crossover Steering Kit with 7/8" JMX rod ends.

Frequently Asked Questions
What is the difference between the 3/4" and 7/8" bore versions?
Both use the same 7/8"-14 shank. This one has a 3/4" bore for a 3/4" bolt or misalignment spacer; the other has a 7/8" bore for a larger bolt.
Do I need right-hand or left-hand thread?
A length-adjustable link uses one right-hand and one left-hand end so you can spin the tube to change length. Order the thread that matches your side.
Why a 3-piece Teflon-lined rod end?
The replaceable PTFE-lined race keeps the joint smooth and quiet and resists the slop that shows up in unlined one-piece heims, and the liner can be serviced instead of scrapping the joint.
What can I use these for?
They are built for steering tie rods and drag links as well as suspension link ends on off-road and custom builds.
What jam nut do I need?
A 7/8"-14 tpi jam nut matches the shank thread and locks your link length once set.
