The JL/JT to TJ APEX Front Swap Kit lets you retire the aging factory Dana 30 under your TJ and run the far stronger M210 (advanced Dana 44) front axle from a Jeep Wrangler JL or Gladiator JT. The kit's heavy-duty coil buckets were engineered from 3D scan data of both the TJ frame and the JL/JT M210 housing, so the modern axle bolts and welds into the older Wrangler with correct suspension geometry and ride height.

Fitment & Compatibility

Designed to swap a Jeep Wrangler JL / Gladiator JT M210 front axle (original casting) into a Jeep Wrangler TJ/LJ. If your donor M210 uses the later revised casting, use Artec's 05-casting version of this kit instead. This is a fabrication-level swap kit — welding is required. Pair it with a JL-JT APEX Front Axle Truss and front axle armor kit to finish the axle build.

How do I know if I have the original casting or the 05 casting?
Artec makes two versions of this swap. This kit is for the M210 original casting; if your donor axle has the later revised casting, order the 05-casting version so the brackets index correctly.

Is welding required?
Yes. This is a weld-in coil bucket and bracket kit. It's intended for a builder or shop comfortable with axle-swap fabrication, not a bolt-on install.

What else do I need to complete the swap?
