The JL Front LCA Skids are 1/4" steel wrap-around guards that armor the front lower control arm mounts and joints on the Jeep Wrangler JL and Gladiator JT. The factory lower control arm brackets sit low and take direct hits on ledges and rocks; these boxed skids reinforce that area and shield both OEM and aftermarket control arm joints from trail damage.
Key Features
- Formed from 1/4" steel plate for serious impact resistance
- Boxed, wrap-around design that shields OEM and aftermarket lower control arm joints
- Precision CNC laser cut and bent to fit tightly around the existing lower control arm brackets
- Reinforces a low-hanging area that is prone to abuse on the front axle
- Mounts securely to the axle so it resists getting torn off on obstacles
- Sold as a pair (driver and passenger side)

Frequently Asked Questions
Are these sold individually or as a pair?
They are sold as a pair, so a single purchase includes both the driver-side and passenger-side skids.
Will they fit my Gladiator?
Yes. The front lower control arm bracket geometry is shared between the JL Wrangler (2018-present) and JT Gladiator (2020-present), so the skids fit both.
Do the skids interfere with control arm movement?
No. They are shaped to protect the lower control arm joints while leaving full range of motion for the suspension.
Do I need to weld them on?
They are designed to bolt/mount around the existing brackets; a competent installer can fit them with basic hand tools, and welding is recommended only if you want to permanently reinforce the bracket. Finish the bare steel with primer and paint to prevent rust.
