JL 4XE T-CASE & FUEL SKID 4DR 2.0L 2021-up

The JL 4xe T-Case & Fuel Skid replaces the flimsy factory underbody plates on the plug-in-hybrid Wrangler with a purpose-built aluminum shield that guards the transfer case and fuel tank. The 4xe carries extra hybrid hardware low in the chassis, and the stamped-steel OEM protection dents easily on rock. Artec's version is CNC-cut from heat-treated aluminum, contoured from factory scan data, and actually adds ground clearance while it protects.

Fitment & Compatibility

Fits the Jeep Wrangler JL 4xe (plug-in hybrid), 4-door, 2.0L, 2021 and up. It is specific to the 4xe underbody layout and is not interchangeable with gas 3.6L, 2.0L mild-hybrid or 392 Wranglers, which carry different tank and driveline geometry.

Frequently Asked Questions

Will this fit my 4xe?
It fits the 4-door 2.0L Wrangler JL 4xe plug-in hybrid from 2021 onward. It is designed around the 4xe's specific underbody and will not fit non-4xe JL Wranglers.

Why aluminum instead of steel?
The 1/4" 6061-T6 aluminum gives you serious impact resistance without the weight penalty of a steel skid, which matters on a hybrid that already carries extra battery mass. The steel brackets are zinc-plated to resist corrosion where they bolt to the frame.

Does it make oil changes and service harder?
No. The plates use countersunk bolts and easy-to-remove access points so you can drop the relevant section for maintenance rather than pulling the whole system.

Can I build out full underbody coverage?
Yes. This skid pairs with Artec's other 4xe pieces, including the JLU 4xe Power Pack & Exhaust Skid and the complete JLU 4xe Bellypan Skid with Power Pack & Exhaust Skids.
