The Artec JL 1 Ton APEX Rear Axle Swap Brackets are a full weld-on bracket system for putting a one-ton rear axle under a 2018-and-newer Jeep Wrangler JL. It is an advanced set that works on nearly any axle with a 3.5in tube, and the coil brackets and bump stop pads are an extension of a built-in axle tube truss that ties the whole housing together for end-to-end rigidity.
Key Features
- CNC laser cut from 1/4in and 3/16in mild steel and CNC bent for accurate fitment
- Built-in axle tube truss provides complete end-to-end rigidity; coil brackets and bump stop pads extend from it
- Faster to weld than a pile of individual brackets, saving hours of install time
- Complete set: upper and lower control arm mounts, shock mounts, anti-sway bar mounts, trackbar mount, bump stop pads and coil spring mounts
- Trackbar mount includes four positions to dial in geometry for aftermarket lifts (stock-height hole not included)
- Fits a wide range of one-ton axles using a 3.5in (or similar) tube
Fitment & Compatibility
Fits the Jeep Wrangler JL (2018-present) and is designed to mount a one-ton rear axle with a 3.5in diameter tube (or similar), such as a 14 bolt or Sterling 10.5. When using a 14 bolt, confirm the axle width suits the factory upper control arm brackets; with a Sterling, check clearance to the factory gas tank, as some builds require a stretch or an aftermarket tank. It is a weld-on fabrication kit.

Frequently Asked Questions
What axle does this fit?
Practically any one-ton rear axle with a 3.5in axle tube or similar, including 14 bolt and Sterling 10.5 housings.
What Jeep is it for?
The 2018-and-newer Jeep Wrangler JL.
Why does the trackbar mount have four holes?
The four positions let you correct trackbar angle for different aftermarket lift heights. Note the stock-height hole is not included, since this is a one-ton swap intended to run with a lift.
Any clearance issues to plan for?
On a Sterling swap, watch factory gas-tank clearance, which may call for a stretch or aftermarket tank; on a 14 bolt, make sure the axle width matches the factory upper control arm brackets.
Do I need a separate truss?
No. These brackets include a built-in axle tube truss. For a truss-only reinforcement, see the 14 bolt Rear APEX Short Truss or Sterling Rear APEX Short Truss.
