It pairs Artec's patented APEX front axle truss with front LCA skids, inner C gussets, and the APEX heavy-duty track bar bracket, giving the housing serious protection and rigidity for bigger tires and harder trails without the extra bracketry of the Ultimate kit.

Frequently Asked Questions
How is this different from the Ultimate Armor Kit?
This Armor Kit uses front LCA skids and does not include shock brackets. The Ultimate kit adds heavy-duty LCA brackets and 1/4" shock brackets for more complete protection.
Which Jeeps and axles does it fit?
The Jeep Wrangler JK and JKU (2007-2018). Select the Dana 44 (Rubicon) or Dana 30 version for your front axle.
Is welding required?
Yes. The truss, gussets, and bracket are weld-on parts. When welding the truss, Artec recommends preheating the cast housing and letting it cool slowly to prevent warping.
Can I add the shock brackets later?
Yes. If you want the shock brackets and HD LCA brackets, the Ultimate Armor Kit includes them; the components can also be added individually.
What does the truss do for my axle?
It ties the axle tubes together across the top of the housing, greatly reducing flex so the axle can handle larger tires and hard hits.
