Artec Hardcore Diff Cover for Jeep Wrangler JL M200-D35 Rear
The Artec Hardcore Diff Cover for the Jeep Wrangler JL M200-D35 rear axle is a thick-wall nodular-iron cover made specifically for the JL's rear Dana 35 (M200) housing. Artec designed it from 3D scan files of the factory casting so it seals cleanly and armors the ring gear and carrier, replacing the thin stamped OE cover that is easy to dent when the rear axle drags over rock.
Key Features
- Cast from high-strength nodular iron with thick walls for impact resistance
- Engineered from 3D scan files of the JL M200 Dana 35 rear housing for precise fit
- Durable powder-coat finish over the casting
- Magnetic drain plug to capture metal shavings during gear-oil service
- CNC-machined sealing surface and high-strength steel fasteners
- Made in the USA with a 1-year manufacturer defect warranty
Fitment & Compatibility
Fits the rear M200 (Dana 35) axle on the Jeep Wrangler JL, 2018-present. The M200 is the standard non-Rubicon JL rear axle; Rubicon models with the M220 (Dana 44) rear use a different cover. If your JL has the Dana 44 rear, choose the Artec Hardcore cover for the M220-D44 instead. Pair this rear cover with the matching Artec Hardcore cover for the JL M186-D30 front to armor both ends of the Jeep.

Frequently Asked Questions
Will this fit my JL's rear axle?
It fits the Jeep Wrangler JL rear M200 (Dana 35) axle, the standard non-Rubicon rear axle from 2018 to present. Rubicon models with the M220 Dana 44 rear need the M220-D44 cover instead.
How do I tell if I have the M200 Dana 35 or the M220 Dana 44?
Rubicon trims came with the Dana 44 (M220) rear; Sport and Sahara trims usually have the M200 Dana 35. The axle tag or cover shape confirms which one you have.
Do I need to weld anything?
No. It bolts on in place of the stock cover with the supplied high-strength fasteners and RTV or a gasket. Drain, clean the surface, torque in a star pattern, then refill.
What is the benefit over the factory cover?
The OE cover is thin stamped steel that dents and can leak after a hard hit. The Artec cover is cast nodular iron with thick walls, so it protects the rear diff from trail impacts and keeps the axle sealed.
