The Artec 8.8 Truss Bridge is an add-on reinforcement for builders already running Artec's Ford 8.8 axle truss. It ties into the existing truss to add strength across the housing and help keep the axle tubes from spinning under load, a common concern once you start putting real power and big tires through a swapped 8.8.
Key Features
- Bolts onto Artec's existing Ford 8.8 truss to increase overall axle rigidity
- Helps prevent the axle tubes from rotating (spinning) in the center section under high load
- Weld-on design for a permanent, structural bond to the housing and truss
- Purpose-built for the Ford 8.8, a popular lightweight one-ton-alternative swap axle
Fitment & Compatibility
Designed for the Ford 8.8 rear axle that is already fitted with an Artec 8.8 truss. It is an upgrade component, not a standalone truss, so you should have the Artec 8.8 Modular Truss (or equivalent Artec 8.8 truss) installed first. The Ford 8.8 is a frequent swap into the Jeep TJ, LJ, and YJ platforms.

Frequently Asked Questions
Do I need the Artec 8.8 truss to use this?
Yes. The bridge is designed to add to Artec's existing 8.8 truss. If you have not trussed your 8.8 yet, start with the 8.8 Modular Truss, or a complete swap kit like the TJ 8.8 Swap Kit with Truss.
What problem does the bridge solve?
Under high load, the pressed-in axle tubes of an 8.8 can try to rotate within the center section. The bridge adds material and structure to help resist that tube spin and to stiffen the trussed housing further.
Is it weld-on?
Yes. It is a structural, weld-on reinforcement that should be installed by someone comfortable welding on an axle housing.
Will it fit any 8.8 rear axle?
It is built to work with Artec's 8.8 truss. If your 8.8 is trussed with a different brand, the fit is not guaranteed.
