What size tube does this adapter fit?
It is made for 1.5" outside-diameter tubing with a 1.0" inside diameter, which corresponds to nominal 0.250" wall DOM. The 1.0" ID slides into the tube bore and the 1.5" OD matches the outside of the tube for a flush weld.

Do I need both left-hand and right-hand adapters?
For an adjustable link you do. Weld a right-hand (TA1401R) adapter on one end and a left-hand (TA1401L) adapter on the other so the assembly acts like a turnbuckle and can be lengthened or shortened without unbolting.

Does it need to be welded?
Yes. This is a weld-in bung. The beveled edge and flat OD land are shaped to make welding easy and clean with no grinding beforehand.

What rod ends does it accept?
Any 7/8"-14 TPI rod end or heim joint, such as Artec's JMX PRO 7/8" rod ends. Add a matching 7/8"-14 jam nut to lock the joint at your final length. Pair with DOM link tubing to complete the build.
