The Artec Industries 14 Bolt Pinion Guard with Bridge shields one of the most exposed points on a GM 14-bolt rear axle. On lifted rigs and 1-ton swaps the pinion and yoke hang low and lead the axle into every ledge and rock; this guard takes that abuse so your driveline doesn't. The integrated bridge ties the guard back into your Artec 14-bolt truss, turning two parts into one continuous piece of armor.
Key Features
- CNC cut from 3/8" thick mild steel to survive direct rock strikes
- Bridge section links the guard to an Artec 14-bolt truss for a fully tied-together axle
- Deflects the pinion and yoke away from ledges and rock faces on the trail
- Offered in a low-mount and a high-mount version to match your specific Artec truss
- Bare steel, ready to weld into your build
Fitment & Compatibility
Designed for the GM 14-bolt rear axle, a common 1-ton swap under Jeep and full-size builds. Mount version must match your Artec truss: the LOW MOUNT is used with Artec truss TR1401 or TR1406, and the HIGH MOUNT is used with Artec truss TR1402 or TR1405. Confirm which 14-bolt truss you are running before choosing low or high mount. A higher-armor version is also offered as the 14 Bolt APEX Pinion Guard with Bridge.

Frequently Asked Questions
Which axle does this pinion guard fit?
It is built for the GM 14-bolt rear axle, the heavy-duty axle most often used in 1-ton swaps under Jeep and full-size trucks.
Do I choose low mount or high mount?
Match it to your Artec truss. Low mount works with Artec truss TR1401 or TR1406; high mount works with Artec truss TR1402 or TR1405. The mount versions are not interchangeable.
Does it need to be welded on?
Yes. The guard and bridge are supplied in bare steel and are welded to the axle and truss, so plan on final fitment and welding as part of your axle build.
What does the bridge actually do?
The bridge spans from the pinion guard back to the truss, tying the two together so impact loads are shared across the housing instead of concentrated at the pinion.
