Ruff Rax FAQs
Where is Ruff Rax made?
In the USA, from American steel and aluminum, according to Overland Vehicle Systems, which owns the brand.
Will a Ruff Rax bed rack work with my tonneau cover?
Only the tonneau-mount versions. Most racks come in a standard mount and a version for Roll N Lock, Retrax or hard tonneau covers, so pick the one that matches your truck.
Do I have to drill my truck?
Ruff Rax bed racks install with clamps or sliding blocks at the bed. Some roof racks require Ruff Rax TP-54 roof tracks, professionally installed, so check the listing for your vehicle.
Who owns Ruff Rax?
Overland Vehicle Systems acquired Ruff Rax in late 2025. Sales and warranty support run through OVS.
How do bed racks ship?
By LTL freight on a liftgate truck. The carrier calls to schedule delivery, so plan to be there and inspect the box before you sign.
What's the Ruff Rax warranty?
A limited lifetime warranty against manufacturer defects in materials and workmanship, handled by OVS. See our Ruff Rax warranty summary.
