A Wrangler roof is split into panels, and a rack that spans all of them makes removing the top a chore. This Ruff Rax roof rack is split too, sold as a front section and a rear utility section, so you can run one or both and still get a proper aluminum platform for cargo, boards or a tent.

The rack is all aluminum with stainless black hardware, and the extrusions are custom profiles with channels on both sides that take Thule, Yakima, Rhino-Rack and universal T-slot mounts. A dual-stage textured powder coat matches OE trim, the crossbars sit flush to cut down on wind noise, and the mounting feet are recessed so the whole thing looks clean from the side. Made for the Jeep Wrangler JL / JLU, model years 2018-2027. That covers the Wrangler JL 2 Door (2018 - Present) and Wrangler JLU (2018 - Present). Both sections use OEM mounting, and Ruff Rax notes they don't work with factory roof rails. The rack is a split design sold by section: the Front Section covers the front of the roof, and the Back Section is the rear utility half of the split rack. Order both if you want the complete split rack.

The front and back sections are separate parts, and the back section ships in a larger, heavier box. Ruff Rax rates the install at beginner level with printed instructions, but assembly is required and two people make it much easier. It comes with 5 crossbars. The noise-reduction strip is sold separately, so add it if wind noise matters to you. Check your rooftop tent or cargo weight against the 330 lb static and 660 lb dynamic limits.
