Ruff Rax Modular Utility Rack (Rear) for Chevy Colorado / GMC Canyon (2015-2027)

Ruff Rax Rear Utility Rack for the Colorado/Canyon (2015-2027)

This is the rear utility rack section from the Ruff Rax system for the Colorado and Canyon, covering both the second-gen and third-gen trucks. It adds a low aluminum platform with T-slot channels for carrying cargo, boards or accessories, using the same extrusions and finish as the rest of the Ruff Rax line.

It is an aluminum platform rather than steel, which keeps weight off the roof, with stainless black hardware and a textured dual-stage powder coat. The custom extrusions carry channels on both sides for Thule, Yakima, Rhino-Rack and standard T-slot accessories, and integrated holes give lights and other add-ons a place to bolt up. Made for the Chevy Colorado / GMC Canyon, model years 2015-2027. That covers the Canyon 2nd Gen (2015 - 2022) and Canyon 3rd Gen (2023 - Present) and Colorado 2nd Gen (2015 - 2022) and Colorado 3rd Gen (2023 - Present). Ruff Rax notes that its roof racks ride on Universal Heavy-Duty Roof Tracks (TP-54), installed professionally by Ruff Rax or a certified installer, and the spec sheet lists the mounting interface for this one as drilling required, so budget for that install before the rack goes on.

Ruff Rax rates the install at beginner level with printed instructions, but assembly is required and two people make it much easier. It comes with 5 crossbars. The noise-reduction strip is sold separately, so add it if wind noise matters to you. Check your rooftop tent or cargo weight against the 330 lb static and 660 lb dynamic limits.
