Ruff Rax Modular Roof Rack for Chevy Silverado / GMC Sierra 1500 (2014-2018)

Ruff Rax Roof Rack for the Silverado/Sierra 1500 (2014-2018)

On a 2014-2018 Silverado or Sierra 1500, the cab roof can carry a rooftop tent, light bar or long cargo that doesn't belong in the bed. This Ruff Rax roof rack puts an aluminum platform up there, shaped to the cab, with T-slot channels for the accessory mounts you already use.

Ruff Rax builds it from aluminum extrusions with T-slot channels on both faces, so most accessory mounts from Thule, Yakima and Rhino-Rack slide right in. It is finished in a dual-stage, OE-matched textured powder coat, uses stainless black hardware, and keeps the crossbars flush with the frame to keep gaps and wind noise down. Made for the Chevy Silverado / GMC Sierra 1500, model years 2014-2018. This one must be used with a Yakima or Thule roof rail channel system, and the spec sheet lists the mounting interface as drilling required, so plan for the channel install first or have a shop do it.

Ruff Rax rates the install at beginner level with printed instructions, but assembly is required and two people make it much easier. It comes with 5 crossbars. The noise-reduction strip is sold separately, so add it if wind noise matters to you. Check your rooftop tent or cargo weight against the 330 lb static and 660 lb dynamic limits.
