Fuel Tanks
High-capacity replacement fuel tanks, mostly from S&B, for Ram Cummins, Ford Powerstroke, Chevrolet Silverado and GMC Sierra, Mercedes Sprinter and Winnebago Revel. The collection also carries fuel sending units, fittings, a transfer pump kit and RotoPax fuel cans. Tank fitment depends on cab, bed length and engine, so confirm all three and check whether you need a sending unit.
Fuel Tanks FAQs
Will an S&B fuel tank fit my Super Duty?
S&B tanks are listed by model, cab and bed configuration, and some are specific to the 2023 model year. Match the details in the listing and call (920) 249-7744 if you are not sure about your bed length or tank option.
Do I need a new sending unit with a replacement fuel tank?
It depends on the tank and your truck. Some installs reuse the factory sender and others need a new one, and the listings include sending units and O-rings. Read the listing for what is supplied.
What is the Distance to Empty recalibration module for?
On 2023 and newer Super Duty trucks, a larger tank can throw off the range readout. The module recalibrates the display so it matches the capacity of the new tank.
Are RotoPax cans okay to carry on a roof rack or bed?
They are designed for external mounting, and the key is a secure mount. Keep gasoline and diesel cans clearly separated, and check local rules for carrying fuel.
Is installing a bigger fuel tank a DIY job?
It can be, if you are comfortable working under a truck, but you will need to drain the tank, support it as it drops and handle lines and wiring. If you are not experienced with that, a shop is the better choice.
