This S&B tank swaps in about 60 gallons of capacity for the factory tank on 7.3L and 6.0L Powerstroke trucks. The float reads empty at the same point as the OEM tank, and since the S&B tank has a larger bottom surface area, you get a bigger reserve once the low-fuel light comes on. It reuses your OEM sending unit.
Know the trade-off: the nozzle at high-flow stations, like truck stops, will not be able to auto-fill it.
Fitment
Listed for 1999-2007 Ford F-250 and F-350 with the 7.3L or 6.0L Powerstroke, Crew Cab Short Bed. Part number 10-1011. If your truck has the V-shaped crossmember connected to the carrier-bearing crossmember, this tank will not fit with that crossmember in place.
Install notes
S&B sump fittings or drain plug fittings are required when using the sump feed/return port or after drilling out the bottom port as a drain. They are sold as related products. S&B notes that running an auxiliary fuel tank alongside its tanks voids the Lifetime Warranty.

Does it use my factory sending unit?
Yes, S&B states the tank reuses the OEM sending unit.
Will it auto-fill at a truck stop?
No. The nozzle at high-flow stations will not be able to fill it automatically.
Is there anything that blocks the fit?
If your truck has the V-shaped crossmember connected to the carrier-bearing crossmember, the tank will not fit with it in place.
Do I need sump fittings?
Only when using the sump feed/return port or a drilled-out bottom drain. They are sold separately.
