This S&B tank adds about 62 gallons of capacity to LLY, LBZ and LMM Duramax 6.6L trucks in the crew cab short bed configuration. Because the bottom of the tank is wider than the factory one, you get a larger reserve once the low-fuel indicator lights.
Two caveats apply. GM's distance-to-empty readout cannot be reprogrammed, so it will show roughly half the mileage you really have left, which is true of every aftermarket high-capacity tank. The nozzle at high-flow stations also will not auto-fill it.

Why is my range estimate off?
GM distance-to-empty cannot be reprogrammed and will show about half the real mileage left with any aftermarket high-capacity tank.
Can I fill it at a truck stop?
You can fill it, but the nozzle at high-flow stations will not auto-fill it.
Which bed does it fit?
Crew Cab Short Bed. S&B lists a separate 65 gallon tank for Crew Cab Long Bed.
