This is not a capacity upgrade. It is a direct replacement for the OEM 40-gallon after-axle tank, with the same size and shape. The reason to buy it is the material: the poly construction addresses the problem of the factory steel tank delaminating and damaging the fuel system.
Fitment
Listed for 2000-2010 Ford F-350, F-450 and F-550 Cab Chassis trucks with the 7.3L, 6.0L or 6.4L Powerstroke. It does not fit 1999 trucks. Part number 10-1002-1.
Install notes
Skid plates and straps are not included, because those parts are reused from your truck. The torque spec for the sending unit nuts is 30 in/lbs. S&B notes that running an auxiliary fuel tank alongside its tanks voids the Lifetime Warranty.
