Krazy Beaver Tools FAQs
Where are Krazy Beaver shovels made?
In the USA. Krazy Beaver builds its shovels with American manufacturing partners and is based just east of Denver, Colorado.
Why is it called Krazy Beaver?
The shovel head looks like a beaver's tail, and the founder thought it was crazy nobody had patented the design yet.
What's the difference between the Krazy Beaver Shovel and the Mud Shovel?
The standard shovel has a 13-gauge heat-treated steel head with teeth for tough ground. The Mud Shovel has a lighter 14-gauge round-point blade for mud and sand only and shouldn't be used on hard-packed dirt.
How long is the Krazy Beaver Shovel?
The standard Krazy Beaver Shovel and the Mud Shovel are 40 inches overall. The Shorty is about 33 inches, and the Mini is shorter still.
What is the hollow handle for?
The D-grip comes off with a quick-release pin, revealing a hollow section of about 8 inches where you can keep small emergency items.
What does the Krazy Beaver warranty cover?
Manufacturing defects. User damage isn't covered, including using the Mud Shovel on hardened dirt, and the warranty page doesn't state a time limit.
How fast do Krazy Beaver products ship?
In-stock items ship from NVMOS in 24–48 hours. Items that ship direct go out the same day when ordered before noon on a weekday, per Krazy Beaver.
