Chevrolet Silverado Accessories: A Guide by Category and Generation
The Chevrolet Silverado has been around since 1999, comes as a 1500 and as 2500HD/3500HD heavy-duty trucks, and has gone through four generations plus mid-cycle refreshes. That is why Silverado accessories are easy to order wrong. This hub lays out the main categories NVMOS carries for the Silverado, picks a few products in each, and points you to deeper guides when you want more detail.
Short answer: Pin down three things before you shop: your generation (model year), whether it is a 1500 or an HD, and your trim, cab and bed. Then pick by job. Lighting and leveling suit daily drivers, bed rails and tie-downs suit work trucks, and bumpers, skid plates and lift suit trail builds. Every product below lists its fitment years in the title. Confirm them on the product page before ordering.
Silverado accessories by generation
Most fitment mistakes on a Silverado come from mixing up generations, or from mixing up the 1500 and the HD. The years below are the commonly used generation breaks. The HD trucks often run a year behind the 1500, and in 2019 a carryover "LD" 1500 was sold next to the new body style, so check your build sheet if you have a 2019.

The refresh years matter most for front-end parts. Several bumpers, grille overlays and bumper covers in our catalog are split into 2019-2021 and 2022-2026 versions for the 1500, and HD front bumpers are split at 2024. Rear parts, bed accessories and interior parts may span more years, but not always. Older trucks have fewer options. Use shop by vehicle to filter by year.

Lighting: headlights, ditch lights and tail lights
Lighting is one of our deepest Silverado categories, with vehicle-specific parts from Morimoto, ORACLE, AlphaRex, Baja Designs and Diode Dynamics. Many of these are plug-and-play or use vehicle-specific brackets, so they are among the simpler upgrades to install.
Headlights. The Morimoto Silverado HD (20-24) XB LED Headlights are full assemblies for the 2020-2024 Silverado HD. Morimoto lists Bi-LED projectors, sequential turn signals and plug-and-play install on the factory connectors, and says they meet SAE, DOT and FMVSS108. Ditch and A-pillar lights. The Morimoto Silverado (19-26) 1500 2Banger LED Ditch Light System mounts compact pods on stainless A-pillar brackets made for the 2019-2026 Silverado 1500, with wide, combo and spot patterns and white or yellow output. The Baja Designs Squadron 2.0 Sport A-Pillar Light Kit (2019-2026 Silverado 1500) is the step up; Baja Designs rates each Squadron 2.0 Sport at 3,200 lumens at 30W in a spot pattern. Tail lights. For a 2014-2018 1500, the Morimoto XB LED Tail Lights (Smoked) for the 2014-2018 Silverado 1500 replace the factory units. Morimoto notes that trucks with OEM LED tail lights need its optional adapters.
Bumpers, armor and recovery points
Aftermarket bumpers are where the 1500 vs HD and refresh-year splits matter most. Read the exclusions, because many bumpers rule out specific trims, engines or driver-assist packages.
Front and rear bumpers
The DV8 2022-2025 Silverado 1500 Spec Series Front Bumper has a hidden winch mount, two 1-inch D-ring mounts and an included front skid plate, and DV8 says it keeps the parking sensors, front camera and adaptive cruise. It excludes the ZR2, 2.7L TurboMax, diesel and Super Cruise trucks, and DV8 notes minor cutting. The title lists 2022-2025 while the description says 2022-2026, so treat it as 2022-2025 until you confirm on the product page. For the newest HD trucks, the ADD 2024+ Silverado 2500/3500 Bomber HD Front Bumper is plate steel with a winch mount and two D-ring mounts, and per ADD it bolts on and keeps the parking sensors and adaptive cruise. At the back, the Fishbone Offroad Rockfish Rear Bumper for 2019-2025 Silverado is listed for the 2019-2025 1500, with 3/4-inch D-ring mounts and a built-in step on both sides. Skid plates and steps
The RCI Full Skid Plate Package (2019+ Silverado 1500 4x4) includes front, transmission and transfer-case plates in 10 gauge steel or 1/4" aluminum. RCI says it bolts to the factory mounting points with no drilling, and lists it as not compatible with 4"+ lift kits. For getting in and out, the DV8 2019-2026 Silverado 1500 Crew Cab OE Plus Side Steps bolt to the body and pinch weld and fit crew cabs only.
If you add a winch, ADD sells a separate 2022-2026 Silverado 1500 Winch Kit for the Stealth Fighter Front Bumper, which ADD says takes winches from the 8,000 lb class up to a 12,000 lb WARN Evo. Straps, shackles and boards are in our recovery gear collection.
Leveling kits and lift kits
A Silverado sits lower in front than in back from the factory. A leveling kit fixes the rake, and a lift kit raises the whole truck for bigger tires. Leveling, 1500. The ReadyLIFT 1.5" Leveling Kit (2019-2026 Silverado 1500 2WD/4WD) uses billet aluminum upper strut spacers. ReadyLIFT lists up to a 33x11.50-R20 tire on a 20x9 wheel at 0 offset, and says it will not fit the ZR2, is not compatible with Super Cruise, and that this part number is for trucks without Adaptive Ride Control.
Lift, 1500. The ReadyLIFT 2019-2024 Silverado 1500 4" SST2.1 Premium Suspension System is listed by ReadyLIFT at 4 inches of front lift with 2.25-inch rear blocks, Falcon 2.1 shocks and tubular upper control arms. ReadyLIFT notes the front gain is 2 inches over stock on Trail Boss trucks. For a 2014-2018 Silverado, the Eibach Pro-Truck-Lift Stage 1 (2014-2018 Silverado) pairs lift springs with Pro-Truck Sport shocks for +2.5" front and +0-1.5" rear, per Eibach. The listing does not say 1500 or HD, so confirm fitment on the product page.
HD trucks. The ICON Stage 1 Suspension System, Billet, 2-3.5" Lift (2020-2026 Silverado 2500/3500 HD) combines V.S. 2.0 HD shocks, billet upper control arms and torsion keys. This version does not include rear leaf packs.

Bed racks, caps, roof racks and tie-downs

Racks and caps
The Ruff Rax Modular Bed Rack for the Silverado 1500 5.7 ft Bed (2019-2027) mounts to the track of a Retrax or Roll N Lock tonneau cover, so you need one of those covers installed, and ships with four MOLLE side panels. HD owners who want a hard shell can look at the OVS Expedition PRO Truck Cap for the 6.9 ft Bed (2020-2027 Silverado 2500/3500 HD), a modular stainless steel cap with gas-strut side doors. For the cab, the Prinsu Pro Roof Rack (Silverado 1500 Crew Cab 2019-2026) is a modular aluminum rack, and Prinsu says drilling is required. The title lists the 1500 crew cab only, while the description also names the 2500 and 3500 except HD trucks with cab lights, so HD owners should confirm on the product page.
Bed rails and tie-downs
The Integral Rails Bedside Rail System (Silverado 1500 2019+) attaches to the factory bedside mount holes, includes two Slide-N-Lock cleats, and comes in 6'6" or 5'8" lengths. Integral lists it as not compatible with Carbon Pro beds or EV models. The Integral Straps (1500 2019+, HD 2020+) are 10-ft retractable straps that bolt to the factory tie-down anchors with no drilling. See bed accessories and bed racks for more.
Chrome delete, emblems and exterior trim
Chrome delete overlays cover the factory chrome instead of replacing parts, and grille and bumper overlays are split by trim as well as year, so check which grille your truck has. The chrome delete guide compares overlays, wraps and paint.
The AJT Design BumperShellz Grille Chrome Delete Overlay (2022-2026 Silverado 1500 LT/LTZ) is molded ABS with 3M tape and no drilling. The Ecoological 2019-2026 Silverado 1500 Mirror Overlay covers the upper mirror housings on standard mirrors only, not tow mirrors, and a quantity of one is a pair. For badging, the Tufskinz Engine Badge (Silverado 1500, 2018-2025) is an 8" x 1" stick-on badge in 2.7L, 5.3L, 6.2L and 3.0L diesel versions. Interior upgrades
Tufskinz makes most of our Silverado interior trim, and most of it is split between 2019-2021 and 2022-2026 pieces because the 2022 refresh brought a new dash. The Tufskinz Dash Accent Trim (2022-2026 Silverado) is a domed overlay cut for the refreshed dash, installed with 3M adhesive and no drilling. For phones and tablets, the Tackform TRAXX Slim Track Dash Bracket With MagSafe Charging Phone Mount (2019-2026 Silverado) is CNC-machined 6061-T6 aluminum that mounts with 3M tape or the included bolt-through hardware. What is the first accessory most Silverado owners should add?
It depends on the job. For daily drivers, lighting and a leveling kit are common starting points because they change how the truck works every day. For work trucks, bed rails and tie-downs usually come first. For trail builds, start with armor such as skid plates before adding lift.
Do Silverado 1500 parts fit the Silverado 2500HD or 3500HD?
Usually not. The heavy-duty trucks use different front ends, suspension and in many cases different bed lengths. Buy parts whose title names your exact model, such as 1500 or 2500HD/3500HD, and confirm the years on the product page.
Which Silverado generation do I have?
As a general guide, 1500 trucks are 1999-2006, 2007-2013, 2014-2018 and 2019 to present, and HD trucks follow a year or so behind. The 2022 1500 and 2024 HD refreshes changed the front end, so front bumper, grille and lighting parts are often split at those years. Your VIN or build sheet will confirm it.
Will a leveling kit or lift void my warranty?
Warranty coverage depends on GM, your dealer and the specific failure, so we cannot promise either way. Ask your dealer before installing, keep your receipts, and plan on an alignment after any suspension change.
Do chrome delete overlays damage the factory trim?
The overlays we list attach with 3M automotive-grade tape rather than drilling, per AJT Design and Ecoological. Removal is still work, so dry fit first and follow the vendor's prep steps.
Are LED headlights and ditch lights street legal on a Silverado?
Morimoto says its XB LED headlights for the 2007-2013 Silverado and the 2020-2024 Silverado HD meet DOT, SAE and FMVSS108, and that the high beams on its 2015-2019 HD version meet SAE and DOT. Auxiliary lights such as ditch lights and A-pillar pods are a different matter, and rules on when you can run them vary by state, so check your local laws.
