5.5"+ Lift Kits
Tall lift kits and related components for big-tire builds, with long control arm kits and bump stops from Teraflex, coilovers and box kits from ICON Vehicle Dynamics, and Clayton Off Road long arm kits. Fitments include the Jeep Wrangler JK and JL, Cherokee XJ, Toyota Tundra and Ford Super Duty. Taller lifts usually need matching driveline, brake line and steering parts, so plan the full build.
5.5"+ Lift Kits FAQs
What else do I need when I lift a truck 6 or 7 inches?
Expect to deal with driveshaft angles, longer brake lines, steering and track bar geometry, and often larger tires and gearing. Some kits include part of this and others do not, so read the listing. A shop alignment is required afterward.
Will a 7 inch ICON box kit fit my 2017 Super Duty?
The Super Duty box kits are listed by year range and drivetrain, including a 2017-2022 4WD front kit. Check that your year and 4WD match, and call (920) 249-7744 if you have a gas or diesel question.
Do I need to regear after a tall lift?
If you run much larger tires, probably yes. Bigger tires effectively raise your gearing, which dulls acceleration and can strain the transmission. Many owners regear to match the new tire diameter.
Is a Tundra 6 inch coilover system a complete lift?
The listing is for a 2.5 VS coilover kit that works with a ProComp 6 inch lift on 2007-2021 Tundras. That means it is part of a lift, not the whole thing, so check what else the build needs.
Why do Jeep JK lifts need new driveshafts?
Lifting changes the angle and length of the driveshafts, and at 3 to 6 inches the factory shafts can bind or vibrate. The ICON driveshaft listings are split by front or rear and by 2 door or 4 door.
