The Scout Pro 15K sits in the gap between a typical 12,000 lb winch and the truck-grade units that weigh a lot more. It is rated for a 15,000 lb (6804 kg) single-line pull, runs a 12V 7HP series-wound motor, and uses a 3-stage planetary gear train at 218:1. Carbon Offroad points it at loaded overland rigs, heavier trucks like the Ram 1500 and 79 Series Land Cruiser, and slide-on camper setups that outgrow a 12K.
The spool carries 24 m (78.7 ft) of 11 mm UHMWPE synthetic rope, finished with a forged thimble and a MegaPro hook. A CNC billet, hard-anodized MegaPro fairlead, a rotating ring gear clutch and an automatic brake built into the motor bracket round out the hardware, and the unit carries an IP68 rating against dust and water.
Fitment
This is a universal winch, not a vehicle-specific kit. It uses a 254 mm x 114.3 mm (10.0 in x 4.5 in) mounting bolt pattern, so you need a winch plate or bumper with that pattern. At 26.7 kg (58.9 lb) installed, plan on a bumper or mount built for the weight. Carbon Offroad recommends a battery of at least 650 CCA.

Will it bolt onto a standard winch plate?
It uses a 254 mm x 114.3 mm (10.0 in x 4.5 in) bolt pattern. Check your bumper or winch plate against that before ordering.
How much battery do I need?
Carbon Offroad recommends at least a 650 CCA battery.
Does it come with remotes?
The feature list mentions a wired remote with a 3.6 m lead and a wireless remote. The contents list only names the winch and rope, so ask us to confirm before you buy.
Is a 24V version available?
The vendor says a 24V option exists, but this listing is the 12V unit.
What clutch does it use?
