Ram 2500 Accessories: Best Upgrades by Category and Generation

Short answer: Good places to start on a Ram 2500 are LED headlights or fog lights, a leveling kit or lift sized to your tires, and front-end parts like a steering stabilizer or adjustable track bar. Before ordering, confirm your generation (2003–2009, 2010–2018 or 2019+), whether the truck is diesel or gas, whether it has rear air suspension, your cab and bed length, and whether it is a Power Wagon.

A few other things to confirm before you order:
- 2500 or 3500. Shared parts are common, but the year ranges are not always the same. ICON's adjustable front track bar, for example, lists the 2014–2026 Ram 2500 and the 2013–2026 Ram 3500.
- Diesel, coil or air. Many 2014+ suspension kits are diesel only, and ICON sells separate coil spring and OEM air ride versions, and several ReadyLIFT kits list factory air suspension as not compatible.
- Power Wagon. It has its own bumper and suspension. Several ReadyLIFT leveling and lift kits list it as not compatible, while KC HiLiTES makes a bumper light bar just for it.
- Cab, bed and trim. Roof racks and seat-delete systems list Crew Cab only, and some fog kits are made for one trim. Where a title and description disagree on years, go by the narrower range.

Headlights
On 2019–2024 trucks, the Morimoto Ram HD (19-24) XB LED Headlights use a triple Bi-LED setup with Osram 5000K LEDs, and the turn signals can run sequential or standard on/off. Morimoto says the harness is plug-and-play whether the truck came with halogen or factory reflector LED headlights. For the previous body, the Morimoto Dodge Ram HD XB Evo LED Headlights (09-18) add dual bi-LED projectors, a heated lens to cut frost, and a white or amber DRL. Morimoto lists them for the 2009–2018 Ram HD. Owners of a 2009 should confirm fit first, since other listings put 2009 in the earlier generation.
Fog lights
Morimoto's XB LED fog lights are sold by generation and plug into the factory connectors: the Ram 2500 XB LED Fog Lights (03-09) and the Ram 2500 XB LED Fog Lights (10-18), which Morimoto rates at about 1,200 raw lumens per side. On 2019–2026 trucks, the Baja Designs Squadron SAE Fog Pocket Light Kit puts one Squadron light in each factory fog pocket and runs off the factory fog switch. It is listed for the Big Horn trim, and Baja says it meets SAE J583, in clear or amber.
Ditch lights and Power Wagon lighting
The KC HiLiTES A-Pillar / Ditch Light Kit for 2019+ RAM comes with lights, wiring and a mount, and you pick the 2500/3500 mount. KC says the brackets install without drilling, and lists them as not compatible with 2023+ 2500/3500 trucks with the Sport Performance Hood. Power Wagon owners have their own option in the KC HiLiTES Bumper Light Bar Bracket for 2019+ RAM 2500 Power Wagon, a four-tab bar that bolts to factory locations with no drilling.
Bumpers, armor and recovery
Pick a bumper by generation first:
- 2010–2018. The DV8 2010-2018 Ram 2500 / 3500 Steel Front Bumper is 3/16-inch steel with 1/4-inch reinforcements, has four LED light holes and two shackle recovery points, and DV8 says it takes up to a 12,000 lb winch.
- 2020–2023. The ADD 2019-2023 RAM 2500/3500 Stealth Fighter Front Bumper has a standard winch mount, a universal light mount for a 40-inch RDS light bar or up to 10 cube lights, clevis mounts for soft shackles, and ADD says it keeps the OEM parking sensors. The title says 2019–2023, but ADD's description names 2020–2023, so 2019 owners should confirm fit on the product page.
- Rear, 2019–2026. The DV8 2019-2026 Ram 2500/3500 Spec Series Rear Bumper is full width, bolts on with no cutting, and has mounts for two 3-inch rear-facing pod lights.
Recovery
With a winch bumper in place, add the hardware. The DV8 Elite Series 3/4" D-Ring Shackles are a forged steel pair with a 7/8-inch chromoly pin and an 8 ton working load limit per DV8. For synthetic rope, the DV8 Pocket Fairlead is rated at 20,000 lb working load limit and takes rope up to 7/16 inch, per DV8.

Suspension, leveling and steering

- Leveling, 2019–2026. The ReadyLIFT 1.75" Leveling Kit (2019-2026, New Body) is for 4WD trucks and uses plate steel top-mount coil spacers with a retention bolt and shock extensions, and ReadyLIFT lists a 35-inch maximum tire. It is not compatible with the Power Wagon or the Snow Prep/Ambulance Package.
- Leveling, 2013–2018. The ReadyLIFT 1.75" Leveling Kit (2013-2018) is for 4WD trucks and uses e-coated steel spacers. ReadyLIFT notes that shock extensions do not work on this truck, so discard any that come in the box.
- A full system. The ICON 2014-2026 Ram 2500 Diesel 2.5" Stage 1 Suspension System, Coil Spring includes dual rate front coils, ICON 2.0 Aluminum Series shocks and an adjustable track bar. It is for diesel 4WD trucks with rear coil springs; ICON sells a separate version for OEM air ride.
Plan on an alignment after any lift or leveling kit, and expect ride and handling changes.
Steering and front end
Bigger tires put more load on the steering. The ICON 2009-2026 Ram 2500/3500 HD 2.0 VS Steering Stabilizer is a bolt-on factory replacement that ICON tunes for larger tires. The ReadyLIFT 2013-2026 RAM HD Dual Steering Stabilizer With Falcon is listed for 4WD trucks and works on stock, leveled or lifted trucks, but needs at least 5.75 inches of wheel backspacing and does not fit factory wheels. The ICON 2014-2026 Ram 2500 Front Adjustable Track Bar Kit uses a captured uniball on the driver side and is built to address death wobble and center the axle. ICON's 2003–2012 version is the 214030; for a 2013 Ram 2500, the ReadyLIFT heavy-duty adjustable front track bar lists 2009–2013 4WD trucks.
Bed, storage, interior and emblems
Bed and roof storage
The ADD 2019-2026 Ram HD 2500/3500 Bed Side Molle Panels come in short (6'4") and long (8') bed versions and keep the factory tie-down points. For a camper-style build, the Goose Gear Ram 2500 6.5' Bed Plate System lists 2010-and-newer trucks and requires drilling into the bed. Overhead, the KC HiLiTES Platform One Roof Rack for 2010-2026 RAM 2500/3500 is for the Crew Cab, sits up to 3.75 inches above the roof, and installs by drilling the roof for sealed Rivnut inserts. KC recommends professional installation and says your truck's roof load limit governs.
Interior
The Tackform TRAXX Accessory Track Dash Bracket With MagSafe Phone Mount is for the 2019+ RAM 2500/3500. It is aluminum, mounts with the dash's factory screw holes and no drilling, and Tackform notes it does not fit all trim levels. For a gear-hauling Crew Cab, the Goose Gear Second Row Seat Delete Plate System replaces the rear seat with a 40/60 plate and back wall. It is listed for 2500 and 3500 Crew Cabs, in Limited and non-Limited versions, and does not fit a rear bench seat. The title says 2009-present while the description says 2010-and-newer, so confirm your year.
Emblems and letters
Emblems are where the 2025 refresh matters most, since most Tufskinz Ram HD letter kits list 2025–2026 only. The Tufskinz Tailgate Letter Overlays (2025-2026 Ram 2500/3500) are a 3-piece domed kit in 24 finishes, and the Tufskinz Grille Letter Overlays (2025-2026 Ram 1500/2500/3500) cover the grille in 28 finishes. For 2019–2026 trucks, the Tufskinz Door Sill Protection Overlays (2019-2026 Ram 2500/3500) are a 2-piece film kit that shields the sill plates. What are good first accessories for a Ram 2500?
Most owners start with lighting (LED headlights or fog lights), a leveling kit sized to the tires they want, and a steering stabilizer or track bar if the front end feels loose on bigger tires. Work trucks often start in the bed instead, with molle panels, tie-downs or a plate system.
Do Ram 3500 accessories fit a Ram 2500?
Many do, because a lot of parts are built for both trucks and listed as Ram 2500/3500. Suspension is the exception to watch. Year ranges can differ between the two, such as ICON's front track bar for the 2014-2026 Ram 2500 and 2013-2026 Ram 3500, and several kits fit only the 2500. Check that the title names the 2500 and your year.
Do Ram 1500 accessories fit a Ram 2500?
Only when the listing names the 2500. Some parts are shared, like the Tufskinz 2025-2026 grille letter overlays for the Ram 1500/2500/3500 and the KC HiLiTES 2019+ A-pillar kit, which has a separate 2500/3500 mount. Most bumpers, headlights and suspension parts are listed separately for the heavy-duty trucks.
Will a leveling kit work on a Power Wagon or a truck with air suspension?
Usually not. ReadyLIFT lists its 2019-2026 Ram 2500 leveling kits as not compatible with the Power Wagon or the Snow Prep/Ambulance Package, and says Ram 2500 trucks with factory air suspension are already leveled, so a leveling kit would overlift the front. Confirm your suspension before you order.
Do my Ram 2500 headlights need to match my year?
Yes. Morimoto sells the XB LED headlights for the 2019-2024 Ram HD and the XB Evo LED headlights for the 2009-2018 Ram HD, and they do not interchange. For the 2019-2024 trucks, Morimoto says its XB headlights are plug-and-play with either factory halogen or factory reflector LED headlights.
Will an aftermarket front bumper keep my parking sensors?
Some do. ADD says its Stealth Fighter front bumper for the 2020-2023 Ram 2500/3500 retains the OEM parking sensors. The title says 2019-2023, so 2019 owners should confirm fit on the product page.
What helps with death wobble on a lifted Ram 2500?
A worn or stock track bar is a common suspect. ICON designs its adjustable front track bar for the 2014-2026 Ram 2500 to address death wobble and to center the front axle, and sells a separate bar for 2003-2012 trucks. Have the rest of the front end inspected too.
Are LED fog lights and ditch lights street legal?
Some are sold as compliant. Morimoto says its XB LED fog lights for the Ram 2500 meet SAE, DOT and ECE rules, and Baja Designs says its Squadron SAE fog kit meets SAE J583. Rules on auxiliary lights such as ditch lights vary by state, so check yours before using them on the road.
