How is this different from the DTP-06-2S to IP65 cable?
This cable's input is a DTP04-2P female, so it plugs onto a DTP04-2P male feed — typically the output leg of a splitter or harness rather than the rooftop port itself. If you want to go straight from a factory rooftop DTP-06-2S port to an IP65 accessory, use our DTP-06-2S to IP65 waterproof connector cable instead.

What plugs into the DTP04-2P female end?
Any DTP04-2P male source. That includes the female output legs of our 2-way DTP splitters once fitted with a mating male, or an accessory harness that presents a DTP04-2P male.

Can I shorten it?
Yes, a qualified installer can shorten the run, but the IP65 termination must be properly re-sealed afterward to keep its weather rating.

Is the IP65 connector submersible?
No. IP65 resists dust and pressurized water spray, which covers rain, washdowns, and trail conditions, but it is not rated for prolonged submersion.

Does it include a fuse or switch?
No. It's a power-routing cable only — no switch relay harness, fuse block, or accessory device is included. Feed it from a properly fused source.
