What's covered
- Defective products are replaced with the same item, or a comparable one if it's been discontinued

- Normal condensation, and paint or coating wear from regular use
- Installation or labor costs
- Improper installation or use, abuse, or opening, rewiring or repairing a product
- Swapping lenses on Stage Series lights voids the 3-year coverage (the 8-year coverage stays)
- Purchases from unauthorized sellers; coverage is for the original buyer and isn't transferable
How to make a Diode Dynamics claim
- Keep your proof of purchase; every claim needs it (gift recipients can register within 90 days of the original purchase instead)
- Request an RMA through Diode Dynamics' returns portal and work through diagnosis with their support team
- Nothing goes back without an RMA number; include photos for moisture claims
- For US customers, Diode Dynamics covers shipping on 3-year claims, plus return shipping for inspection on 8-year and lifetime claims

The Diode Dynamics SS3 SAE Type TR Fog Light Kit replaces the factory fog lights on the 2006–2009 Toyota 4Runner with SS3 LED pods set in a one-piece, 3D-printed bezel for a factory-style look. It plugs into the stock fog light connector, needs no modification, and puts out an SAE-compliant fog pattern that is legal for road use.
Why it works
Factory fog lights on a 4Runner this age are tired halogen units. The SS3 pods use advanced TIR optics to build a wide, flat 80°x8° fog beam that stays low under the glare zone, and the pattern is tested to SAE J583 for fog lamps and SAE J575 for durability. The pods have cast aluminum bodies with pin-fin heatsinks, rubber gaskets and polycarbonate lenses, and carry an IP69K rating. Diode Dynamics engineers and assembles the kit in the USA.
Options
- Sport (14.5 W): white or yellow SAE fog — a clean step up from halogen.
- Pro (36 W): white or yellow SAE fog with roughly double the Sport output.
- Max (38.5 W): white or yellow SAE fog, the brightest single-color option.
- Dual-Color (20 W): white and yellow in the same pod with an SAE Fog/Wide pattern, for people who want both.
Fitment
Toyota 4Runner, 2006–2009. The kit connects with a Deutsch DT input on the pods and a 9006 plug on the vehicle side, so it uses the factory fog light wiring.
