A Ford Raptor front bumper is not the same part as an F-150 front bumper. The Raptor has its own wide front end, its own frame horns and, on newer trucks, its own sensors, shutters and cooling layout. This guide sorts the Raptor front bumpers NVMOS carries by generation and covers winch mounts, frame cutting, sensors and lighting.

Short answer: Start with your generation: 2010–2014, 2017–2020 or 2021 and newer. Then choose winch or non-winch, and bolt-on or frame cut. Most Raptor bumpers here bolt on, but on 2017-and-newer trucks, frame-cut bumpers and several winch setups also need an intercooler kit (a heat exchanger kit on the Raptor R). If your truck has adaptive cruise control, plan on a relocation bracket, and on a 2024-or-newer Raptor with an ADD bumper, plan on the shutter motor relocation kit. Ranger Raptor bumpers are a separate fitment.

Why Raptor bumpers are their own category

The Raptor has wider front fenders, a wider track and its own grille and bumper shape, so bumpers are listed for either the Raptor or the regular F-150, not both. DV8 Offroad says plainly that its 2017–2020 Raptor tube bumper does not fit a non-Raptor F-150, and ADD makes separate adaptive cruise brackets for the standard 2024-and-newer F-150 and the Raptor.

The generations do not swap either. There was no 2015 or 2016 Raptor, so the second generation runs 2017–2020. If you have a regular F-150, our Ford F-150 front bumper guide is the one you want.

Winch or non-winch, bolt-on or frame cut

  • Winch mount. On the 2017–2020 Raptor, ADD sells winch-mount versions of the Stealth R and Stealth Fighter, and the Stealth Fighter Winch also requires ADD's intercooler relocation kit. On the 2021-and-newer Raptor, ADD sells winch kits that convert the Stealth Fighter, Pro Bolt-On and Pro Plus Bolt-On. Those kits mount the winch to the frame and relocate the oil cooler, and ADD lists an intercooler upgrade on the V6 Raptor, a heat exchanger upgrade on the Raptor R, and on 2024-and-newer trucks a second shutter motor bracket plus the ACC bracket. No winch is included with any of these bumpers.
  • Non-winch. Non-winch bumpers are usually lower and tighter to the truck. ADD recommends its frame reinforcement kit on several 2017–2020 bumpers if you run D-rings, soft shackles or a winch.
  • Bolt-on. Most bumpers here are listed as fully bolt-on.
  • Frame cut. Frame-cut bumpers trim the frame horns so the bumper sits farther back, for the most approach angle. They are a committed build. ADD's frame-cut bumpers for the 2017-and-newer Raptor call for a high mount intercooler or intercooler relocation kit, and the Pro Plus Frame Cut calls for the High Mount Heat Exchanger Kit on the Raptor R.

A winch and steel plate add weight up front, and none of these listings gives a pound figure, so ask if weight matters. If you are pairing a bumper with a lift, see our F-150 lift kit guide.

Ford Raptor front bumpers by generation

2010–2014 Raptor (1st gen)

The first-gen choices all come from ADD. The ADD Venom R Front Bumper is listed as 100 percent bolt-on, built from .120-inch wall tubing and 3/16-inch steel and takes up to 10 cube lights or a 40-inch bar. The ADD PRO and ADD PRO V2 are frame-cut tube bumpers with aluminum skid plates. ADD says the V2 needs no plastic valence. For recovery, the HoneyBadger Winch Front Bumper has a winch mount, reinforced clevis mounts for soft shackles and three light-bar mounts.

2017–2020 Raptor (2nd gen)

The DV8 Offroad Tube Front Bumper is a tall prerunner-style bumper in 3.5mm and 5mm steel with a full vented skid plate and frame-mounted steel recovery hooks. DV8 lists it as bolt-on with no cutting, about 4.5 hours, and says it does not keep the factory fog lights or skid plate.

From ADD, the Stealth Fighter sits about half an inch farther from the grille than the factory bumper, and the Bomber comes in three lighting layouts (RIGID 360, Baja Designs LP6 or dual 20-inch bars) and keeps the OEM tow hooks. The Phantom keeps the OEM intercooler and has sensor mounts for the parking sensors. The ADD PRO V1 and Rock Fighter Frame Cut need a cut frame and the high mount intercooler kit.

2021 and newer Raptor and Raptor R (3rd gen)

For third-gen ADD bumpers, the first question is Raptor or Raptor R. The Stealth Fighter, Bomber, HoneyBadger, Phantom and Pro Plus bumpers are listed for both. The Rock Fighter and Edge descriptions mention the Raptor R but their titles list the Raptor only, so confirm. The ADD PRO Frame Cut does not fit the Raptor R. ADD describes the Pro Bolt-On as fitting the 2021–2026 Raptor and the 2023 Raptor R, and says its winch kit does not fit the Raptor R, so Raptor R owners should confirm on the product page.

  • Bolt-on plate bumpers. The Stealth Fighter stands about half an inch past the OEM bumper and keeps the parking sensors and tow hooks. The Bomber and HoneyBadger fit tight to the truck.
  • Tube and prerunner bumpers. The Pro Bolt-On keeps the factory intercooler location. The Race Series is a tubular, desert-race style bumper. The Edge is ADD's ultra low-profile option with four 6-inch lights recessed into the face.
  • Pro Plus. The Pro Plus Bolt-On adds a welded front hoop and high-clearance sides, and ADD says it installs in about two hours. The two Pro Plus Frame Cut versions need a cut frame plus ADD's Intercooler Relocation Kit on the Raptor or the High Mount Heat Exchanger Kit on the Raptor R.
Bumper Years (as listed) Install Winch Main build
ADD Venom R 2010–2014 Bolt-on None listed .120 in tube, 3/16 in steel
ADD HoneyBadger Winch 2010–2014 Not stated Winch mount Clevis mounts, three light mounts
DV8 Tube 2017–2020 Bolt-on None listed 3.5 and 5 mm steel, full skid
ADD Stealth Fighter / Winch 2017–2020 Bolt-on (winch version needs intercooler kit) Winch version Radius steel plate
ADD Stealth Fighter 2021–2026, incl. Raptor R Bolt-on Add-on kit Radius plate steel
ADD Pro Bolt-On 2021–2026 (see Raptor R note) Bolt-on Add-on kit, not Raptor R .120 in tube, 1/8 in aluminum skid
ADD Bomber / HoneyBadger / Rock Fighter 2021–2026, incl. Raptor R (Rock Fighter: confirm) Bolt-on None listed Plate steel, aluminum panels
ADD PRO Frame Cut 2021–2026, not Raptor R Frame cut None listed .120 in tube, 3/16 in aluminum skid

Sensors, adaptive cruise, cameras and grille shutters

  • Adaptive cruise control (ACC). On ACC-equipped trucks, the radar module has to move behind the grille when the factory bumper comes off. For 2017–2020, the DV8 ACC Relocation Bracket needs minor drilling and does not work with grilles that have chrome or metal parts. ADD's Adaptive Cruise Control Bracket also covers the 2017–2020 Raptor. For 2021–2023, ADD's bracket mounts in a lower (primary) or upper position, and ADD notes ACC may need recalibrating at a Ford service center. The 2024–2026 Raptor uses its own ADD bracket.
  • Grille shutter motor (2024 and newer). Removing the lower grille shutters disconnects the shutter motor, which can bring up dash warnings. ADD states its Shutter Motor Relocation Kit is necessary on any 2024-or-newer Raptor with an ADD front bumper, though the Rock Fighter listing says non-Raptor R trucks, so Raptor R owners should confirm.
  • Parking sensors. Several third-gen ADD bumpers list OEM parking sensor retention, including the Stealth Fighter, Bomber and Pro Plus. The HoneyBadger takes the sensors on 801A trucks and includes plugs for 800A trucks without them. On the 2017–2020 Raptor, the Phantom has sensor mounts. If the factory bezels crack when you move the sensors, DV8 sells replacement Motorcraft parking sensor bezels that it says fit bumpers with 1.1-inch sensor holes.
  • Front camera. The 2017–2020 ADD PRO Bolt-On V1 keeps full front camera function. The DV8 tube bumper's optional push bar blocks the camera, the third-gen Pro Plus bumpers block it on equipped trucks, and the HoneyBadger with Top Hoop may block it.

Light mounts and materials

Every bumper here lists its own lighting layout. Lights are sold separately.

  • Center bars. Common layouts are a 20-inch radius bar or up to six cubes (third-gen Pro Bolt-On, PRO Frame Cut), a 30-inch radius bar or up to eight cubes (2017–2020 Venom R), or a 40-inch bar or up to 10 cubes (Stealth Fighter, HoneyBadger, Stealth R).
  • Round lights. The Bomber is cut for four RIGID 360 6-inch or three Baja Designs LP6 lights. The Edge recesses four 6-inch rounds into the bumper face. The Pro Plus hoop takes up to five 6-inch or four 9-inch rounds.
  • Side mounts. Many ADD bumpers have 10-inch SR bar mounts behind the side panels, and the Bomber has cube mounts on each side.
  • Add-on hoops. The Race Series Light Hoop adds about 3.5 inches of depth. On the third-gen Pro Bolt-On, ADD warns that its hoop turns off reverse braking assist with a dash warning and may make the front parking sensors inactive. The hoop description lists 2021–2023, so confirm on newer trucks.

For more on lights and wiring, see our F-150 lighting upgrade guide.

On materials, plate bumpers (Stealth Fighter, Bomber, HoneyBadger, Rock Fighter) use steel plate, while tube bumpers (Venom R, Stealth R, PRO, Pro Bolt-On) use .120-inch wall steel tubing. Many add an aluminum skid plate, 1/8 to 3/16 inch thick as listed.

Ranger Raptor: a different truck

The 2024-and-newer Ranger Raptor is a midsize truck, and none of the F-150 Raptor bumpers fit it. ADD makes two for it. The Edge is listed for the Raptor trim only, not XL, XLT or LARIAT, and ADD recommends trimming the inner fender liners. The Phantom keeps the intercooler, parking sensors and OEM recovery points. Both need ADD's Ranger Raptor ACC Relocation Kit to keep adaptive cruise. For the rest of a Ranger build, see our Ford Ranger overland build guide.

For other upgrades, see the F-150 accessories guide and tie-down upgrades for F-150 and Raptor owners. Bumper height and auxiliary lighting rules vary by state, so check yours before you install.

Frequently asked questions

Will an F-150 front bumper fit my Raptor?

No. The Raptor has wider front fenders, a wider track and its own front end, so bumpers are made specifically for it. Every F-150 Raptor bumper in this guide is listed for the Raptor, and bumpers made for the regular F-150 are not listed for it, so check the fitment line on any bumper.

Which Raptor front bumpers have a winch mount?

For 2010–2014, the ADD HoneyBadger Winch Front Bumper. For 2017–2020, the ADD Stealth R and Stealth Fighter each come in a winch-mount version, and the Stealth Fighter Winch requires ADD's intercooler relocation kit. For 2021 and newer, ADD sells winch kits for the Stealth Fighter, Pro Bolt-On and Pro Plus Bolt-On. Those kits call for an intercooler or heat exchanger upgrade, and the Pro Bolt-On bumper listing says its kit does not fit the Raptor R. Winches are sold separately.

Do I have to cut the frame to install a Raptor bumper?

Only for frame-cut models. The ADD PRO and PRO V2 for 2010–2014, the ADD PRO V1 and Rock Fighter Frame Cut for 2017–2020, and the ADD PRO Frame Cut and Pro Plus Frame Cut for 2021 and newer require cutting the frame. Most other bumpers here are listed as bolt-on.

Will I keep adaptive cruise control with an aftermarket Raptor bumper?

Yes, with a relocation bracket on ACC-equipped trucks. DV8 and ADD make brackets for the 2017–2020 Raptor, and ADD makes separate brackets for the 2021–2023 and 2024–2026 Raptor. ADD notes ACC may need recalibrating at a Ford service center.

What is the shutter motor relocation kit for?

On a 2024-or-newer Raptor, removing the lower grille shutters for an aftermarket bumper disconnects the shutter motor, which can cause dash warnings. ADD states its Shutter Motor Relocation Kit is necessary on any 2024-or-newer Raptor with an ADD front bumper. Raptor R owners should confirm, since one ADD listing ties it to non-Raptor R trucks.

Do third-gen Raptor bumpers fit the Raptor R?

Many do. The ADD Stealth Fighter, Bomber, HoneyBadger, Phantom and Pro Plus bumpers are listed for the Raptor and Raptor R. The Rock Fighter and Edge mention the Raptor R in their descriptions but not their titles. The ADD PRO Frame Cut does not fit the Raptor R, and the Pro Bolt-On lists the 2023 Raptor R, so confirm on the product page.

Is an aftermarket Raptor bumper heavier than stock?

It depends on the bumper, and the listings we carry do not give pound figures. ADD says its Bomber bumpers weigh less than the factory Raptor bumper because of the 3/16-inch aluminum skid plate. Steel plate and a winch add weight up front, so ask us if weight matters for your setup.
