This TeraFlex RockGuard piece does two jobs on a JL Wrangler: it is a low-profile transmission skid plate, and it reinforces the Front Long Arm Suspension Crossmember. If you are running a TeraFlex long arm kit, it protects the transmission and stiffens the crossmember in one part.
Why it works
- Transmission protection: shields the transmission from rocks and trail debris.
- Crossmember support: reinforces the long arm suspension crossmember.
- Low profile: designed to stay tucked up underneath.
When you need it
TeraFlex recommends it with its long arm kits but does not require it. If your JL sees rocks, it is a sensible addition while the long arm install is already underway.
