This is the dry cotton replacement filter for SXTH Element's CPLT intake systems. If you already run a CPLT intake and the media is dirty or worn out, this is the element that drops back into the airbox. There is no oil to apply, so there is no mess and no risk of oil fouling the intake sensors. It is also washable and reusable, which means one filter can cover a lot of miles with basic care.
Fitment
It is a direct-fit replacement for SXTH CPLT intakes made for the Toyota Tacoma, 4Runner, Tundra and Land Cruiser. SXTH also lists it for several of its Hyundai and Kia intakes, which are not sold here. One exclusion from the source: it does not fit the Elantra N-Line CPLT. The vendor does not give model years for the Toyota applications, so confirm your intake is a CPLT unit before ordering.
Sizing and service
The filter has a 4.0 in inlet and stands 6.25 in tall. The vendor's suggested schedule for street driving is a cleaning every 10,000 miles and a replacement every 30,000. For off-road or dusty use, clean every 5,000 miles and replace every 15,000. To clean it, remove it from the intake, soak it gently in warm water with mild dish soap, rinse from the inside out, and let it air dry out of direct sunlight before it goes back in.
Trade-offs
Dry media filters trade a little filtration fineness for easier upkeep compared with oiled cotton. If you spend a lot of time in heavy dust, stick to the shorter off-road interval above.

No. It is a replacement element for SXTH CPLT intake systems only, not for factory airboxes.
