- Have your proof of purchase or sales receipt ready; OVS asks for it with every warranty claim
- Photograph the defect and note your part number before you remove or ship anything
- Contact OVS Warranty Service by phone or email (below). OVS decides whether the item is defective and, if it is, repairs or replaces it with an equivalent product
- Freight deliveries (caps, racks, tents): inspect before you sign, note any damage on the bill of lading, and report damage or missing pieces within 24 hours

Ruff Rax Bed Rack for the Tacoma (2016-2023)
The third-gen Tacoma is the default overland truck for a reason, but its bed fills up fast. This Ruff Rax bed rack lifts a rooftop tent, awning or cargo above the bed on a steel frame and hangs four MOLLE panels along the sides, so cans, tools and lights stop competing with the bins for floor space.
The frame is custom-formed steel that gets an e-coat first and an OE-texture powder coat on top, which is what keeps rust from creeping in at the welds and edges. Four hybrid MOLLE panels come in the box with tapped holes already in them, so fuel cans, water cans and tool mounts bolt on without a separate bracket hunt, and the rack itself has holes for grab handles, lights and accessory brackets. Made for the Toyota Tacoma with the 5 ft and 6 ft bed, model years 2016-2023. That covers the Tacoma 3rd Gen (2016 - 2023) trucks. Pick the mount that matches your truck: the 5 ft Bed (stake pocket mount) version clamps into the factory stake pockets and is not built to work with a bed cover; the 6 ft Bed - Mount with Hard Tonneau Cover version mounts to a hard tonneau cover track system, so the cover has to be on the truck.
Everything to build the rack comes in the box: two base plates, six side uprights, three cross members, two center spines, the four MOLLE panels and the hardware for both. Ruff Rax rates the install at beginner level, but plan on two people because the frame is long and heavy. The tonneau-mount versions only work with the cover named in the option, and the other versions are not compatible with a bed cover, so match the option to what is on your truck now. Will this bed rack fit my Tacoma?
It is made for the Toyota Tacoma with the 5 ft and 6 ft bed, 2016-2023. If your bed length or cover setup is different, call us before ordering.
Which mount option do I need?
Match it to your bed cover. The tonneau versions need the specific cover named in the option, and the other versions are for trucks with no cover.
How much weight can it carry?
Ruff Rax rates it at 900 lb static and 1,300 lb dynamic. Check your rooftop tent's own limits as well.
Do I have to drill my truck?
No. It secures with the included clamps, or with sliding blocks on track-style rails, and two people are recommended for the install.
What comes in the box?
