The factory tail lights on an FJ Cruiser stick out from the body. These ORACLE flush-mount LED units replace them with housings that follow the original body lines and sit tighter to the vehicle. The result looks cleaner from behind, and there is less hardware to catch on a branch or a rock when you are working through a tight trail.
Each side carries red LEDs for running and brake, amber LEDs for the turn signal, and white LEDs for reverse. ORACLE rates each side at up to 84 watts and up to 6,720 lumens combined, with the reverse LEDs spread into a wide flood pattern so backing into a dark campsite or lining up a trailer is easier to see.
The outer housing is automotive-grade ASA, chosen to stand up to UV, weather, heat and impact. Behind the lens, the LED modules sit in powder-coated die-cast aluminum housings that help manage heat, covered by polycarbonate optical lenses. ORACLE lists the assembly as IP68 rated and covered by a 2-year warranty. The primary housing components are made, and the finished assemblies built and inspected, at ORACLE in Metairie, Louisiana.
