The factory front skid on a fifth-gen 4Runner is about .050 inch sheet metal, and it does not take much of a rock to get past it to the oil pan. This M.O.R.E. front skid plate replaces it with 1/4 inch aluminum, which is a far more serious barrier between the trail and an expensive repair.
It fits the 2010-2024 Toyota 4Runner. It does not fit trucks equipped with KDSS, so check your trim before ordering. An access door lets you change the oil without pulling the skid, and a jacking pad area lets you lift the truck without chewing up the plate.
Aluminum saves weight over steel, which is nice on the front end of a truck that is already carrying armor and accessories. If you would rather spend less and carry more weight, M.O.R.E. also makes this skid in steel. Bare aluminum may show minor scratches from manufacturing. You can also order it powder coated in Pure Black, Flame Red, Desert Sand or Tactical Gray.
M.O.R.E. makes these skids to order. It quotes up to 10 business days to ship for bare aluminum, and powder coat colors other than black may take 15 additional business days. M.O.R.E. backs its parts with the RockProof Lifetime Warranty for the original retail purchaser, for as long as they own the vehicle, against product failure. Rubber, urethane and the finish are treated as wear items and are not covered, and neither is labor or shipping.
