MAXTRAX Universal Mounting Pins for MKII, XTREME and LITE
MAXTRAX used to sell different mounting pins for different boards, which made it awkward to mix MKII and XTREME on the same rack. The Universal Mounting Pins replace six earlier pin options with one modular system that works across MKII, XTREME and LITE.
What you choose is the length of the M8 threaded stud, based on how and where you are mounting the boards.
| Spec | Detail |
|---|---|
| Fits | MAXTRAX MKII, XTREME and LITE |
| Thread | M8 threaded stud |
| Stud length options | 17 mm (brackets and racks) or 40 mm (custom and through-panel mounts) |
| Capacity | Short pins hold 2 boards; long pins hold up to 4 MKII, LITE or XTREME |
| Configurations | 4 x MKII, 4 x XTREME, 2 + 2, or LITE |
| LITE note | Run LITE as its own setup; do not mix it in a stack with other boards |
Which stud length do I need?
Choose 17 mm for roof racks, bed racks, spare tire mounts and mounting brackets. Choose 40 mm for custom or hard-mounted installs that need more thread, like mounting through a camper wall.
Can I mount MKII and XTREME boards together?
Yes. The pins work with both, so you can run two MKII and two XTREME on the same set.
Do they work with MAXTRAX LITE?
Yes, but LITE boards are shorter, so run them as their own setup rather than mixing them into a stack with other boards.
Do these replace the old MKII and XTREME pins?
Yes. MAXTRAX designed them to replace the six earlier pin options with one system.
MAXTRAX Universal Mounting Pins for MKII, XTREME and LITE FAQs
Which MAXTRAX boards do the Universal Mounting Pins work with?
They work across the entire MAXTRAX range, including MKII, XTREME and LITE recovery boards.
What problem do they solve?
Previously you had to pick a pin based on the boards you owned, because MKII and LITE needed a different solution from XTREME. The universal pins standardize the system.
How do I choose the right pin?
You choose the length of the M8 threaded stud that fits your application.
