How much can each bike weigh?
Each track spot is rated to 300 lbs, the outer track to 250 lbs, with a 600 lb combined limit.
What hitch rating do I need for two bikes?
A standard 2 in. receiver, and MotoTote says to knock 40% off your vehicle's tongue weight rating to account for the leverage of a two-bike rack. Its fit calculator checks the numbers.
Can it be used as a single carrier?
Yes. Parts to convert it to a single carrier are included.
How is it different from the Max Dual?
Tire width. The Max+ Dual takes rear tires up to 9 in. and fronts up to 5.5 in.; the Max Dual tops out at 6 in. rear and 4.75 in. front.
