- Failure of the vehicle, trailer or other product the hitch is attached to
- Labor to remove, return or reinstall the hitch
- Consequential and incidental losses such as lost time, travel, lodging or property damage
- Ordering the wrong drop, shank size or weight rating (customer pays return shipping)
How to make a GEN-Y warranty claim
- If you bought from a dealer or other third party, start with that seller; GEN-Y asks third-party buyers to go through them first.
- Submit GEN-Y's Warranty/Exchange form or call GEN-Y with the product's model number.
- Have your purchase receipt ready to show the purchase date and that you are the original purchaser.
- Keep the hitch and all evidence of the defect until the claim is settled; losing that evidence can end the claim.
- Return the hitch only if GEN-Y directs you to, in its original packaging or equivalent; replaced hitches become GEN-Y's property.

The GEN-Y Phantom-X adjustable drop hitch combines a 2.5 in. solid shank with 7.5 in. of drop. It is rated for 16,000 lb of towing and 1,600 lb of tongue weight. It comes with the GH-052 tri-ball mount.
