What's covered
- Defective products are replaced with the same item, or a comparable one if it's been discontinued

- Moisture beyond normal condensation that points to a seal failure, at Diode Dynamics' discretion
- Free tech support for the life of the product, even after the warranty ends
What's not covered
- Normal condensation, and paint or coating wear from regular use
- Installation or labor costs
- Improper installation or use, abuse, or opening, rewiring or repairing a product
- Swapping lenses on Stage Series lights voids the 3-year coverage (the 8-year coverage stays)
- Purchases from unauthorized sellers; coverage is for the original buyer and isn't transferable
How to make a Diode Dynamics claim
- Keep your proof of purchase; every claim needs it (gift recipients can register within 90 days of the original purchase instead)
- Request an RMA through Diode Dynamics' returns portal and work through diagnosis with their support team
- Nothing goes back without an RMA number; include photos for moisture claims
- For US customers, Diode Dynamics covers shipping on 3-year claims, plus return shipping for inspection on 8-year and lifetime claims

The Diode Dynamics SS3 SAE Type MR Fog Light Kit replaces the factory fog lamps on the Jeep Gladiator, Jeep JK Wrangler and Jeep JL Wrangler with SS3 LED pods built around an SAE-compliant fog beam. It goes in plug and play with a round bezel, so the front end still looks factory while the light hitting the road is a real step up from stock.
Why it works
- TIR optics focus the output into a wide, flat fog pattern (80° x 8°) instead of scattering it.
- Built to SAE J583 for the foglamp beam pattern and tested to SAE J575 for durability, so it stays road-legal.
- Powdercoated aluminum housing, polycarbonate lens and rubber gasket, rated IP69K for high-pressure water.
- Passive pin-fin heatsink cooling and a constant-current driver — no fan to fail.
- Plug and play: Diode Dynamics lists no modification needed.
- Engineered and assembled in the USA.
Options
Pick a power level first, then a color. Sport (14.5 watts) puts out about 10,600 candela in white, Pro (36 watts) about 11,900 candela, and Max (38.5 watts) about 18,000 candela. Each comes in white or yellow SAE fog, and those kits carry an amber backlight (the "ABL" in the part name). The Dual-Color option (20 watts) packs white and yellow output into the same pod and is listed as SAE Fog/Wide — handy if you want white for clear nights and yellow when the weather turns.

Sport, Pro or Max — what is the difference?
Power and output. Sport runs 14.5 watts at about 10,600 candela (white), Pro runs 36 watts at about 11,900, and Max runs 38.5 watts at about 18,000. All three use the same SAE fog beam pattern.
Do I have to cut or splice anything?
No. Diode Dynamics lists this kit as plug and play with no modification needed and a round bezel to finish the opening.
Is it street legal?
The SS3 fog optic is SAE compliant for road use. Listed compliance: SAE J575 Durability Test, SAE J583 Foglamp Beam Pattern.
What does the Dual-Color option do?
It puts white and yellow output in the same pod (listed as SAE Fog/Wide, 20 watts), so you are not locked into one color.
