Upgrade your 2nd Gen Tacoma (2012-2015) with a rugged and functional Hybrid Front Bumper designed for serious off-road performance and daily reliability. This bumper is 100% bolt-on, requiring minor cutting, but no welding for installation, making it a straightforward upgrade for most anyone. Built with off-road utility in mind, it comes winch-ready with cutouts for easy access to the rope and clutch lever, allowing seamless recovery operations when you need them most.
Constructed from high-strength materials, the bumper features a main body made of 3/16" thick steel, 1/4" thick steel mounting and winch plates, and 1 3/4" OD tubing with 1/8" wall thickness. Fully welded 3/4" thick D-ring tabs are included standard, offering reliable anchor points for recovery gear. Whether you opt for the version with no bull bar, mid-height bull bar, or full-height bull bar with side tube gussets, this bumper is engineered to handle whatever your Tacoma faces.
The bumper accommodates most 8k–12k winches, with recommended compatibility for brands like ComeUp, Smittybilt X20, and Warn Zeon or VR series. Winches with integrated control boxes may require light trimming of the grille support brackets. For best fitment and ease of use, synthetic rope and a hawse-style fairlead are recommended, as some roller fairleads may not clear the recessed mounting plate.
Lighting options are well-supported with a recessed light bar slot specifically sized for the 30” Baja Designs S8, RIGID SR-Series, or Extreme LED 5D light bar. Additionally, all bumpers come standard with front bumper frame support brackets to improve structural strength, included at no extra cost.
If not ordered with powder coating, the bumper will require finishing prior to installation to prevent corrosion. Whether you're building your truck for weekend trails or daily toughness, this Hybrid Front Bumper delivers on both form and function.
