The Tacoma Hybrid Front Bumper for 2nd Gen models (2005–2011) is a rugged, functional upgrade designed for those who want maximum performance without the hassle of complex installation. This 100% bolt-on bumper requires no cutting or welding, making it a straightforward and clean install. Built for utility and durability, it’s fully winch-compatible with front-facing cutouts for easy access to the winch rope and clutch lever.
Engineered to fit most winches in the 8,000–12,000 lb range, the bumper performs best with winches that have a relocatable control box. Popular options like ComeUp, Smittybilt X20, and Warn Zeon or VR series are known to fit. Integrated control box winches may require minor trimming of the grille support brackets. For ideal performance and clearance, synthetic rope winches with a hawse-style fairlead are recommended—larger roller fairleads may not fit the recessed fairlead mounting plate.
Constructed from high-quality materials, the main bumper body uses 3/16" thick steel, while the winch and mounting plates are built from heavy-duty 1/4" steel. The tubing is 1 3/4" outer diameter with a 1/8" wall thickness, offering the strength and resilience needed for serious trail use. Standard features include 3/4" thick D-ring tabs that are fully welded front and back for secure recovery points.
Depending on your configuration, the bumper weighs between 125 and 137 pounds—125 lbs for the no bull bar option, 130 lbs with the mid-height bull bar, and 137 lbs for the full-height bull bar with side gussets. It’s also designed to house a 30" single row light bar, with optimal fitment for the Baja Designs S8, but it’s also compatible with light bars from Extreme LED and RIGID.
Each bumper includes additional front bumper frame support brackets at no extra cost, ensuring a secure and reinforced mounting setup. If the raw steel finish is selected, painting or powder coating is required before installation to prevent corrosion and ensure long-term durability.
