A Sony aftermarket microphone needs a proper home in a Tundra, and this Trail Grid Pro mount gives it one in the headliner console. It holds the mic neatly in the original microphone port, so voice clarity stays where you want it and the cab keeps a factory look.
The Sony microphone needs its small mounting ball removed first, which side cutters or a utility knife will do. Push the rounded end through the upper support, nearly level with the bottom of the two legs, and line up the cut so the audio openings on the side are not blocked.
Fitment
2007-2021 Toyota Tundra. Trail Grid Pro supplies separate video guides for 2007-2013 and 2014-2021.
Install notes
If you have a sunglasses compartment, flip it open and remove the two T20 screws. Pry off the panel with the card holder clip using a plastic tool to find two more T20 screws. Unplug the console harness, remove the foam insert from the microphone port, prepare the mic, and click the mount into the console with the legs facing down. Route the wire toward the mirror, along the windshield, behind the driver-side A-pillar cover and under the dash. Connect the 3.5mm jack to the Sony radio and test.
